Souhegan Valley Chorus, now in its 29th season, is a community chorus in the Milford-Amherst (New Hampshire) area performing a variety of choral music from pops to light classics under the direction of Jennifer K. Erdody. Membership is open, without audition, to singers from high school age through seniors who enjoy choral music. Fifty people come from towns in and around the Souhegan Valley for the weekly rehearsals which are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. usually in the Milford Middle School (see map below) music room. Two concerts are presented each season—one in December and one in May— as well as participating in the Milford Holiday Stroll which takes place the first Sunday in December.

She also teaches voice workshop and musical theater. Jennifer is on the staff of the Souhegan Valley Boys and Girls Club School of Theater Arts, where she is currently music director for "Willy Wonka Jr." She was also the music director for the spring 2007 production of "Carousel".  In the early winter she directs the Mont Vernon Community Messiah Sing, a long-standing choral tradition.
Jenn is a graduate of Boston University, where she studied with Richard Cassilly. She lives in Milford with her husband and two children.

She has performed with the Lyric Trio and the Wiedemann Trio, in collaborations with the Florida Symphony Chamber Players and the Fairmount String Quartet, at the Mostly Mozart Festival, and Chamber Music at the Barn, and on Chicago’s classical radio station WFMT and National Public Radio’s “Performance Today.” Laura has played in recitals with David Perry, Donald McInnes, Lazlo Varga, Brian Lewis, and with oboist, Joseph Robinson, principal oboe of the New York Philharmonic. She also enjoys presenting concerts with her brother, violinist Joseph Scheer, with whom she has recorded two CD’s. Laura resides in Milford with her family.
